Project Description
1.4914 / X19CrMoNbVN11-1 is a martensitic creep-resisting stainless steel strengthened with molybdenum, vanadium, niobium, nitrogen, and boron. Engineered for continuous service at temperatures up to 600°C, this grade delivers high tensile strength, exceptional creep rupture resistance, and reliable oxidation resistance under sustained thermal load. Widely specified across the oil and gas sector, it is the material of choice for bolting, valve internals, and turbine components in high-temperature, high-pressure environments. SHUNFU METAL supplies 1.4914 as hot-rolled and forged bars under ISO 9001 and API Q1 certified quality systems, with every heat undergoing full spectrometric verification, ultrasonic testing, and mechanical certification before dispatch.
What Is 1.4914 / X19CrMoNbVN11-1
This grade belongs to the family of 11% Cr martensitic stainless steels designed for creep resistance rather than general corrosion service. Its strengthening mechanism relies on a dense distribution of fine MX-type precipitates formed by V, Nb, and N additions, which pin dislocations and grain boundaries at elevated temperature. Boron is added in controlled trace amounts to improve hardenability and creep ductility. The result is a material that retains yield strength above 500 MPa at 500°C and exhibits a 100,000-hour creep rupture strength of approximately 95 MPa at 600°C. SHUNFU METAL produces this grade through EAF melting followed by ladle refining and, where specified, ESR or VAR remelting to achieve the ultra-low sulfur and inclusion ratings required by oil and gas end-users.
