Melting, Processing & Heat Treatment

The conventional route utilizes an Electric Arc Furnace (EAF) followed by Ladle Furnace (LF) and Vacuum Degassing (VD) or VOD refining. For enhanced purity, ESR or PESR can be integrated. For critical applications, the VIM + VAR route is available. As a chromium manganese austenitic steel, an AOD process can also be incorporated.
