Jethete M152 (XM-32, UNS S41041 / S64152, EN 1.4938, X12CrNiMoV12-3) is a nitrogen-bearing, 12% chromium hardenable martensitic stainless steel engineered for high-stress components operating at elevated temperatures up to 560 degC. The alloy achieves its exceptional creep-rupture strength and toughness through a balanced addition of nickel (2.0-3.0%), molybdenum (1.5-2.0%), vanadium (0.25-0.40%), and controlled nitrogen (0.020-0.040%) — elements that promote fine V(C,N) precipitation hardening and solid-solution strengthening during tempering. Hot Rolled Round Bar

Diameter: 10 mm – 400 mm. Length: 3000 – 12000 mm. Delivered in hardened & tempered (+QT), annealed (+A), or solution-annealed condition. SHUNFU METAL maintains ready stock of 20 – 200 mm in +QT condition.

Hot Rolled Flat Bar

Thickness: 10 – 150 mm, Width: 50 – 800 mm. Length: 3000 – 9000 mm. Supplied annealed or +QT per customer specification.

Forged Round Bar

Diameter: 80 – 1200 mm. Length: 2000 – 10000 mm. Produced on SHUNFU METAL’s 6000-ton hydraulic forging press with radial forging capability for improved center consolidation and grain refinement. +QT or annealed.

Forged Flat Bar / Blocks

Thickness: 40 – 600 mm, Width: 100 – 1500 mm. Length: 1500 – 6000 mm. Forged hollow bar and step-forged shafts available upon request. Full ultrasonic testing per UT included.

Composition per ladle analysis. SHUNFU METAL applies tighter internal controls on S, P, Si, and key alloying elements to ensure consistent +QT response and mechanical properties. Every heat is verified by OES and LECO for C, S, N, and O content before release.

Mechanical Properties — Jethete M152 / 1.4938

Heat treatment: Hardening at 1035 – 1065 degC followed by oil or air quenching, then tempering at 600 – 670 degC (minimum 2 hours). Double tempering is applied for critical components to ensure microstructural stability and complete stress relief. SHUNFU METAL verifies properties on every heat lot per EN 10269 and AMS 5719 requirements.
