Project Description
Introduction
1.4542 (X5CrNiCuNb16-4, AISI 630, 17-4 PH, UNS S17400) is a copper-bearing precipitation hardening stainless steel. With 15–17% Cr, 3–5% Ni, and 3–5% Cu, it achieves exceptional strength levels after aging treatment while retaining good corrosion resistance and toughness. It is a primary material in the aerospace, oil & gas, chemical processing, medical, and nuclear industries.
