Project Description

Introduction

AISI 420 (W.Nr. 1.4021, X20Cr13, UNS S42000) is a medium-carbon martensitic stainless steel of the 400-series. Its 12–14% chromium content provides moderate corrosion resistance in mild and non-chloride environments, while its carbon level (0.16–0.25%) enables hardening to high strength and wear resistance. The grade serves the cutlery, medical instrument, oil & gas, automotive, food processing, and tooling industries worldwide.
